Member Spotlight: Easterseals, InStride Therapy

A Letter from Jill Gass, Vice President of Philanthropy

First and foremost, I hope this finds you and your loved ones safe. We know that the effects after this hurricane are difficult, and our thoughts are with everyone affected. If you should need services or help, please feel free to reach out to me and I will do my best to connect you to the resource best suited to assist.

As you may know, InStride Therapy has been serving the community for over 25 years and in 2020, the local Easterseals affiliate merged to create Easterseals, InStride Therapy. Through COVID and now Hurricane Ian- we have continued to preserver and offer exceptional services to persons with disabilities and veterans through the gentile demeanor of our horses. Easterseals Happiness House has supported individuals with disabilities to live their best lives and be engaged in their communities since 1946. On day one, the people of this compassionate, caring nonprofit have offered help and hope to children and adults with disabilities, working to ensure all abilities of all ages can shine. This means keeping ahead of the needs of our clients is a must- which is where you come in.

We would love for you to come and learn more about us at our quarterly Open House on Saturday, December 3 from 9:00am-12:00pm. You will be able to observe hippotherapy sessions in progress, tour the barn, meet the horses, speak to staff, and engage with the families Easterseals, InStride Therapy helps each day. It will be a free, family friendly event with coffee and donuts. Please RSVP here.

Other ways to help include: Sponsoring a horse for a year, Attending the annual fundraising luncheon, Purchasing something off our Amazon Wish List, or telling a friend or family member about our services!
