Nokomis Institute

Nokomis Institute manages the NOKOMIS BEACH AMBASSADOR Program, hosts a monthly series of free talks, the first Friday of the month, December through May, on Nokomis Beach, delivered by experts in beach wildlife, including birds, fish, mammals, shellfish, and related phenomena. Speakers include professionals in Gulf weather patterns, ocean waves, shoreline flowers and trees, and the environmental challenges of El Nino, red tide, and pollution.

All programs are free and open to the public.  

Nokomis Institute also produces literary and artistic workshops & posts daily inspirational thoughts on social media sites and via print media in Southwest Florida.
