InStride Therapy of Nokomis is recognized as the leading hippotherapy center in the southeastern United States and has been a member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) International since 1994. InStride’s state-of-the-art therapy facility offers year-round equine assisted therapies and activities including Hippotherapy (physical, occupational, and speech therapy using the movement of a horse to enhance the treatment), clinic-based therapies, Therapeutic Riding (including Special Olympics) and Equine Assisted Learning (for Veterans, survivors of abuse/trauma, at-risk youth). We also offer experiential learning through outreach programs for youth, adults with disabilities, and other groups who could benefit from our services. InStride is a place where people come to grow, learn, and heal with the help our incredible horses. We strive to provide support and growth opportunities for all of our clients and their families. InStride is also a “Reviewed Member” of the GIVING PARTNER network supported by the Community Foundation of Sarasota and other local foundations. InStride Therapy, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) organization registered with the State of Florida Division of Consumer Services (CH14289), received 100% of all contributions to fulfill its mission. Many of our instructors and therapists are PATH International certified and American Hippotherapy Association trained with continuing professional educational opportunities offered on a regular basis. All training is conducted by highly qualified professionals, widely recognized in the field of therapeutic riding.
