Dona Bay Watershed Restoration Project
Objectives:
- Provide a more natural freshwater/saltwater regime in the tidal portions of Dona Bay.
- Provide a more natural freshwater flow regime pattern for the Dona Bay watershed.
- Protect existing and future property owners from flood damage.
- Improve water quality.
- Beneficial use of excess surface water for:
a) aquifer recharge to offset potable ground water withdrawals and saltwater intrusion, and b) the development of potential alternative surface water supply options.
