“Dear Chamber of Commerce,
Thank you for supporting Family Promise of South Sarasota County. Your very generous contribution of $500.00, plus the Louis and Gloria Flanzer Philanthropic Trust match of $500.00, goes a long way toward helping homeless children and their families in our community. By donating to Family Promise of South Sarasota County, you are making it possible for families to regain their self-sufficiency, their pride, and their hope.
Thanks to you, Families like Curtis and his 2 boys here, will have a safe, warm and secure home again! Curtis works 2 jobs, one at New College and the other at Sarasota Memorial in Venice putting in over 70 hours a week. Curtis and his boys were homeless for more than 5 months and applied for over 60 rentals without being approved for any. With your help, Curtis, Trevon and Othello have a chance at rebuilding their lives again and being a happy, stable family.
As we begin our seventh year serving families in South Sarasota County, we are excited to continue to grow and expand our programs and the assistance we can offer children and their families! And with the expansion of our Open Doors Program created to Prevent Homelessness, as well as our Pathways Home Program to provide housing families can afford, we are serving so many more of the children and families who desperately need our help! Please visit www.familypromisessc.org to learn the latest news about our organization. If you would like to be included in our newsletter to keep updated on everything that is happening here or would like to volunteer, please visit the website and give us your contact info or call or email the office.
Thank you again for your vote of confidence and commitment to our mission. We are very excited to continue this journey with you.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Fagenbaum

“On behalf of the Good Samaritan Pharmacy & Health Services, Inc., I would like to thank the Chamber once again for their generous donation of $200.00 to the Good Samaritan Pharmacy and Health Services, Inc. Your donation is being matched by Flanzer Trust so that your total contribution will total $400.00 Because we are a volunteer agency, we are able to leverage $30.00 of medical services for every dollar received, and so your contribution will enable our patients to receive $12000.00 worth of medical services. Wow! You are a superstars!
Your commitment to helping the Good Samaritan Pharmacy provide services to the uninsured and under-insured residents in our community is sincerely appreciated.
The goal of the Good Samaritan Pharmacy is to continue to make a difference in the lives of many Sarasota residents. With the help of donations from supporters such as you, we will be able to continue to assist area residents in obtaining their prescription medications through our unique combination of pharmacy services, patient advocacy work, the pharmaceutical companies’ compassionate care programs, and our free walk-in medical clinic.
Thanks again for your generous support of the Good Samaritan Pharmacy & Health Services, Inc.
Sincerely,
Bill Palace
Vice President
